A SIX-month freeze on bar prices has cost the 1,500 members of the Ashby Mill Road Club in Scunthorpe at least £18,000 in profits.
The annual general meeting was told that last year the 105-year-old business in Modder Street suffered a marginal £1,000 loss, despite increased bar takings of £6,000.
Secretary Andy Crellin said the club, which is free trade and has assets of £250,000, had been happy to stand the loss as the members had felt the benefit.
