THERE were 70 fewer people injured on the region's roads in 2012 than the previous year, new figures have shown.
Figures published by the North Lincolnshire Road Safety Partnership show there were 699 casualties in 2012, compared to 769 in 2011.
It is the fewest number of casualties on the region's roads since records began in 1994.
However, six more people were killed or seriously injured in 2012 than 2011.
