CROWLE and Thorne Moors Peat Railway Society has been set up to develop a railway on the moors.An open meeting of the society will be held at Ealand Victory Hall on Monday, May 13 at 7.30pm.The group intends to develop a railway which will permit greater access for all to the moors.The initial intention is to restore a Simplex loco which used to work on the moors.The loco and the moors themselves are the property of Natural England, with whom the society is currently in initial discussions.It...
