Householders in one area of Scunthorpe are having to pay thousands of pounds in repairs to patch up damage caused to their exterior walls by brick-chipping vandals.
The extent of the damage is highly visible in the Warwick Road and Cemetery Road areas of the town and in some locations full bricks have been removed.
Sgt James Main, of the local neighbourhood police team, said two reports of criminal damage within the area had so far been investigated.
