Tata Steel bosses have confirmed that a plant in Scunthorpe which produces a world-beating security product endorsed by MI5 is to be mothballed.
The closure of the 10-year-old BiSteel plant, with the loss of six jobs, is due to take place next month.
Tata Steel spokesman Damien Brook said: "The current economic climate has seen orders for BiSteel drop to an untenable level.
