UNION negotiators have submitted a claim for an above-inflation pay rise backdated to April 1 on behalf of the 4,000 employees at the Scunthorpe Tata Steel works.
Both sides have declined to reveal the scale of this year's claim, but it is understood to be in the region of three-and-a-half per cent.
