A HEAVY drinker who had battled an alcohol problem for eight years was caught drink-driving, a court heard.
Michael Matthews, 58, of Lloyds Avenue, Scunthorpe, admitted drink-driving on March 15.
Rebecca Dolby, prosecuting, told North Lincolnshire magistrates Matthews had been drinking heavily when he drove to a shop on Old Brumby Street, Scunthorpe.
A breath test revealed he had 106mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35mcg.
