EPWORTH star Sheridan Smith is hotly tipped to become the first female Doctor Who.
Reports have said the 31-year-old actress is top of the BBC's wish-list to take over the role from the current Doctor Who, Matt Smith.
It would be the first time the role of 'The Doctor' has ever been played by a female.
UPDATE: According to the Daily Star Sheridan is top of the wish-list for bosses at the Beeb, who believe she'll go down a storm with die-hard fans of the Time Lord.
