A LEADING expert on hospital mortality data has said he would not send his child to the Leeds children's heart unit because of high death rates.
Professor Sir Brian Jarman, of the Dr Foster research group at Imperial College, told the BBC that mortality rates for planned operations at the heart unit at Leeds General Infirmary were the worst in England.
