Rise in taxpayer subsidy for Baths

THE subsidy from taxpayers towards the cost of running the Scunthorpe Baths Hall this year has risen by more than £10,500, it has been revealed.Under the Freedom of Information Act the Scunthorpe Telegraph learned the American-owned operators at SMG Europe are being paid £430,560.The increase, due to inflation, is £10,560 above the fixed price arrangement for 2012-13 of £420,000.The Telegraph was also told a 15-year contract between the Baths Hall's owners, North...
