EIGHT schools have announced they will shut their doors as a result of teachers' strikes next week.
Schools are currently drawing up plans to cope with the proposed day of action – with many confirming there will be industrial action on October 1.
The day has been marked nationally for strike action by the National Union of Teachers (NUT) and the National Association of Schoolmasters Union of Women Teachers (NASUWT).
