A Scunthorpe house has been severely damaged in a fire which also killed two cats.
The cause of the blaze at a terraced house in Belmont Street, Ashby, is now under investigation.
The occupant Ian Mullen, 47, was not in the two-bedroom property when the fire service was called at 4.56pm on Thursday.
It is understood the cats died from smoke inhalation.
