THE 800-strong branch of the GMB trade union is to seek a minimum £1-an-hour pay rise for some of the lowest-paid workers employed by North Lincolnshire Council.
The 2014 claim follows a one per cent wage rise in April this year after a three-year pay freeze.
GMB branch secretary Trevor Davey said around two-thirds of his members earned less than £21,000-a-year which was below the government's low pay threshold.
