A MAN has this morning appeared in court charged with the attempted murder of a Scunthorpe rugby player.
Christopher Bradley, 22, of Kent Street in Lincoln, appeared at Lincoln Crown Court for a plea and case management hearing.
He is charged with the attempted murder of Matthew Probert following an incident outside a Lincoln nightclub on September 1. The Scunthorpe Rugby Union club player was allegedly hit in the face with a hammer on Hungate.
Bradley pleaded not guilty and will now stand trial...
