A new children's home will open in Scunthorpe tomorrow (Thursday, December 5).
Kingfisher Lodge, on Silica Lodge, off Scotter Road South, proved controversial at the planning stage with suggestions this was not the most suitable site.
It has been built by North Lincolnshire Council, and the opening at noon will be attended by the Mayor, Councillor Peter Clark, of Barrow.
