Chris Horan, a former assistant news editor and features editor of the Scunthorpe Telegraph, has died at the age of 56.
Father-of-five Mr Horan died in Scunthorpe General Hospital on Sunday morning following a long illness.

Police have revealed a 20-year-old man has been charged with using threatening words to incite violence during the public disturbance in the Scunthorpe town centre on Monday morning.
The man, who has not been named, has been released on bail and will be appearing at North Lincolnshire Magistrates' Court in Scunthorpe on June 20.

Pirate invasion at regatta
Pirates pulled up in a boat and looked to lay claim to Glanford Boat Club's premises in Brigg at the weekend.
The fun, which saw one man go overboard and end up in the River Ancholme, was part of the annual regatta.
A bouncy castle, stalls, live entertainment and varied refreshments were enjoyed by visitors.
Late afternoon saw a flypast over Brigg by the always popular Hurricane and Spitfire fighter aircraft.
