Struggling UK A&E units to benefit from £500m funding
STRUGGLING accident and emergency departments in the UK are to be given £500 million of funding over the next two years to ensure waiting times are kept under control.

THE cause of an unknown substance which caused the "slight decomposition" of a man's shoes is still unknown.
A man reported the incident at Brigg Police Station, after he had stepped in something and his shoes had started to erode.

SCUNTHORPE MP Nic Dakin said money could be better spent by a hospital trust - following the announcement about a proposed name name change.
The trust that controls Scunthorpe General Hospital is proposing to change its name in the wake of a damning report on death rates.

A DEER sustained serious injuries and was "humanely destroyed" after being struck by a car on the A18 Kingsway in Scunthorpe.
Humberside Police responded to an incident where a deer was injured by a car at 7.55am today (Thursday, August 8), close to the Berkeley Roundabout in Scunthorpe.
Unfortunately, the deer sustained serious injuries and police were called upon to humanely destroy the animal.
The local authority were asked to attend to collect the animal.

A MOTORIST has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after a collision on the A160 at Killingholme.The incident, which involved a red Seat Ibiza and a white HGV, happened close to the truck stop off the A180 at around 9.45am this morning (Friday, August 16).
