The Mayor of North Lincolnshire will tomorrow raise a flag to support North Lincolnshire Armed Forces Day.
Councillor Trevor Foster will preside at the event on Monday, June 16 at the Civic Centre, Ashby Road, Scunthorpe, at 10.30am.
The local cadet band will lead a parade through Central Park at 10.15am, followed by the raising of the flag at 10.30am. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Primary school overcoming 'serious weaknesses'
A PRIMARY school has been praised for making progress after it was deemed to have "serious weaknesses" by Ofsted.The action plan is now "fit for purpose" at South Ferriby Primary School, says a monitoring report.The school was judged to have "serious weaknesses" in December, but the monitoring report writes that "leadership is being strengthened" and "local authority officers have provided additional support for the school".

Bar imposes first price rise in 3 years
A PINT of beer at a North Lincolnshire social club has gone up by 10p – the first rise in three years.
Officials were forced to take action after profits dropped to their lowest level in 20 years at the Victory Club in Barton-Upon-Humber.
But beer drinkers can take comfort – they can still enjoy a pint at £1.70 or under.
The Victory is also a haven for bargain-hunting wine and whisky drinkers.

Police called to Priory pub during England World Cup game
Police were called to the Priory Hotel last night (June 14) after an altercation during the England vs Italy World Cup match.
At around 11.45pm - half time during the game, which Italy won 2-1 - a scuffle broke out and police were called as back-up.

Scunthorpe foodbank feeds the 2,000
SCUNTHORPE's foodbank fed 2,641 in the last year, including more than 1,600 children.
In order to feed those needing help, the foodbank received donations of more than 20 tonnes of food, which were sorted and distributed by a team of around 60 volunteers.

Popular pub being sold for housing
BOSSES at Enterprise Inns are going ahead with plans to sell off a village pub for housing development.
The deal with a local developer is due to be completed by the end of this month.
The Flixborough Inn has been closed since January but long-standing tenant John Stanley refused to move off the site until a cash settlement was agreed.
John, who ran the inn for 10 years, has now moved after his solicitor Andy Pascoe confirmed a deal had been reached.

Car fire extinguished in Barton
A car caught fire in Barton last night, causing firefighters to race to the scene.
Crews used a hose and two extinguishers to put out the flames in an incident which took place at around 9pm last night (June 15).
A spokesman for Humberside Fire and Rescue said the incident was not being treated and suspicious.

MURDER CHARGE: Scunthorpe woman appears in court
A Scunthorpe woman charged with murder has appeared in court today.
Lisa Joanne Glover, 38, of Frodingham Road, appeared at Hull Crown Court this morning (Monday, June 16).
She is charged with the murder of Barry O'Brien, who died on Thursday, June 5.
No pleas were entered, and she was remanded in custody to appear at Hull Crown Court again on Monday, August 18.

Firefighters rescue two-year-old trapped in kitchen
FIREFIGHTERS rescued a two-year-old child who was trapped in a kitchen in Scunthorpe.
Humberside Fire and Rescue Service responded to the incident shortly before 9.45am this morning (Monday, June 16), at a property on Marsden Drive/Scotter Road in Scunthorpe.
The Fire Service confirmed the child was locked in the kitchen, but was released uninjured.
A spokeswoman said: "The Fire Service gained entry by removing a faulty lock from an internal door using small tools."
