New restaurants planned for Lakeside Retail Park
Two restaurants - one with drive thru facility - look set to come to Scunthorpe.
North Lincolnshire Council planners has just received an outline planning application seeking permission to build two restaurant units, one having a drive thru.
Limes Developments Ltd, of Lincoln, has submitted the plans for Lakeside Retail Park.
The Lakeside area already has McDonald's and Burger King restaurants.

Scunthorpe widow, 84, gets council warning for running tattoo...
An 84-year-old Scunthorpe widow had a warning letter sent to her home by North Lincolnshire Council about running a tattoo business that does not exist.
The letter also warned that if her property contained a dog breeding establishment, pet shop or housed dangerous wild animals without a relevant licence, the council would not hesitate to prosecute.

New neighbourhood wardens taking to our streets
North Lincolnshire Council is pressing ahead with creating neighbourhood wardens.
The authority took over civil enforcement of on-street parking from Humberside Police four years ago, employing parking enforcement officers.
It now wants to see a "broader role" for this team, including dealing with a range of neighbourhood issues.
These could include dog fouling, littering, graffiti, fly-posting and abandoned vehicles.

Police carry out drugs raid on Ashby property
POLICE carried out a drugs raid on a property in Ashby yesterday.
Humberside Police obtained a drugs warrant for a property on St Paul's Road in Ashby, and carried out a drugs raid at 3.48pm yesterday (Tuesday, July 1).
A spokeswoman for the force could not confirm what was seized.
She said: "A 50-year-old man was arrested and released on bail to a date in August."He was not charged."

Asda to step up security at Scunthorpe store
Asda is looking to add to the security measures it has in Scunthorpe.
The retail giant is seeking permission from North Lincolnshire Council to make improvements to its store in Carlton Street.
It wants to install replacement security shutters.
Asda has specified a form of shutter to prevent break-ins. The shutters cannot be perforated, as this aids would-be criminals from gaining access.

Historic pub reopens with new features
A North Lincolnshire pub housed in an 18th century building has reopened its doors to drinkers, having changed hands and been refurbished.
The internal layout has been altered with the bar relocated at the Nelthorpe Arms, in Bridge Street, Brigg.
