OFFICIALS at a North Lincolnshire licensed club are seeking to end a 77-year ban on children being allowed to stay until late in the premises.
North Lincolnshire Council has been asked to lift a 9pm curfew on children being allowed in the Alkborough Coronation Club.
It is understood the exemption would only be used on special occasions such as Bank Holidays.
Objectors have been given until September 10 to make their views known in writing to the council.

The following offender was dealt with at the Court Centre in Laneham Street, Scunthorpe, with North Lincolnshire magistrates hearing the matter and passing sentence:
CHRISTOPHER PAUL NICHOLSON, 52, of Canterbury Close, Scunthorpe, pleaded guilty to using threatening or abusive words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour. He was given a six-month conditional discharge, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £15 and costs of £85.

North Lincolnshire could be a little brighter than usual this evening as a 'supermoon' is expected to take to the skies.
A supermoon takes place when the moon's orbit brings it particularly close to the Earth, and is expected to appear up to 30 per cent brighter than an a normal evening.

North Lincolnshire Council says it has ensured that the vital bus service between Scunthorpe and Goole keeps going, despite changes being made.
The bus service which runs between the towns has been replaced and is now being provided by East Yorkshire Motor Service.
