Car & van crash on busy Scunthorpe road

TWO vehicles have crashed on a busy Scunthorpe road.Police were called this afternoon to the crash, which happened at around 1pm.The car, a grey Audi, and a white transit van were involved in the collision on Scotter Road, near the viaduct.One person suffered minor injuries, but no ambulance was required.The road remains open, with police officers saying the scene of the crash is "passable with care".Follow us on Facebook and Twitter

A WOMAN has been rescued from a lift by firefighters. The incident, which happened in Scunthorpe town centre, happened at 11.26am today (Sunday). The woman became trapped in the lift at a building on Jubilee Way, near the Vue cinema and Parishes shopping complex. Fire crews released the woman, who was uninjured, using lift keys. The following offender was dealt with at the Court Centre in Laneham Street, Scunthorpe, with North Lincolnshire magistrates hearing the matter and passing sentence: MICHELLE LISA KAY, 45, of Merlin Road, Scunthorpe, pleaded guilty to fraud.
