Get your dog microchipped for free in Scunthorpe
Pet owners in North Lincolnshire can get their dogs microchipped free during a session being held in Scunthorpe tomorrow (Thursday, April 9).
This offer comes from the Dogs Trust, in partnership with North Lincolnshire Council.
Just turn up with your dog at the pay and display car park, School Road, Ashby, between 11am and 3pm.
Basic health-checks for pets will also be available.
Dogs that are microchipped are easier to track down if they go missing.

New Scunthorpe restaurant opening tonight
A new restaurant is launching in Scunthorpe today (Wednesday, April 8).
There will be an official opening for guests from 7.30pm tonight, and the restaurant will welcome members of the public from Thursday.
Lasun Fine Dining is situated at 109-111 Frodingham Road.
Formerly known as Bengal Premier, it will serve Indian and Bangladeshi cuisine.
The revamp has cost £25,000 and 25% of proceeds from drinks sales at the opening will go to charity.

Woman (81) has handbag stolen outside church - on Good Friday!
A PENSIONER had her bag snatched outside a church on Good Friday.
Humberside Police are investigating the incident which involved an 81-year-old woman who was standing outside St Mary's Church, on Burgate, Barton, at 3.10pm on April 3.

Mystery surrounds woman pushed from car in Scunthorpe
POLICE have today launched an appeal following reports a woman was pushed from a vehicle in Scunthorpe. Officers were contacted by a lorry driver who said he had seen a woman pushed from a vehicle in Normanby Road and when he stopped to talk to her she alleged she had been the victim of a crime, but would not stay with the driver or telephone the police.

Armed police deployed after knife robbery in broad daylight
POLICE are investigating an alleged robbery where the victim is said to have been threatened with a knife before being robbed of cash.

Norovirus: Ward remains shut at Scunthorpe General Hospital after...
A WARD remains closed at Scunthorpe General Hospital nearly a week after an outbreak of norovirus.
Hospital bosses say ward 17 is still shut to new admissions and people are urged to not turn up to hospital if they are experiencing diarrhoea and/or vomiting symptoms, until at least 48 hours after it has cleared.
Patients were urged by NHS bosses to use alternative services over the Easter bank holiday, including pharmacy and GPs, rather that turning up to A&E.
