Shop plans 5.30am-11pm drinks sales
A national retailer is seeking a licence to sell alcohol from 5am to 11pm every day of the week.
North Lincolnshire Council is now considering the application.
Martin McColl is seeking the go-ahead for sales at 15 Market Place, Barton.

Pub restaurant extends opening hours
A North Lincolnshire village local has been granted approval by North Lincolnshire Council's licensing watchdogs to extend its trading hours.
It will be able to trade from 10am until 2am from Monday to Sunday.
At the Ferry Boat Inn and Grill, West Butterwick, alcohol and food will be served until 1.30am seven days a week and live music played until midnight on Monday to Sunday.
The go-ahead came after The Ferry Boat owners agreed to the conditions laid down by the council.

Village school closure plan announced
Council education chiefs have given official notice that they intend to close a village school.
The plan to "discontinue" the school, dated today (April 10) will be followed by a six-week consultation period during which members of the public can have their say.
If the closure of Brocklesby Park Primary School - not far from Humberside Airport - goes ahead, Lincolnshire County Council will offer all "displaced" pupils places at Keelby Primary School.

A SCUNTHORPE man has been jailed for more than a year for breaching a suspended sentence.Rafal Wlodarski, 22, of Old Crosby, pleaded guilty to driving with no insurance, obstructing an officer and breaching a suspended sentence.He was sentenced to 400 days for breaching a suspended sentence and 20 days for obstructing a police officer. The sentences will run consecutively.Wlodarski also got six points on his licence and was disqualified for six months for driving with no insurance.

New A18 traffic light system will cut delays for drivers
A new high-tech traffic light control system will come into force next week on one of the busiest stretches of the A18 in North Lincolnshire, improving the flow of vehicles and reducing waiting time.

UPDATE: Four arrested after 'firearms incident' in Scunthorpe
FOUR people have been arrested after an alleged firearms incident in Scunthorpe last night (Thursday, April 9).
Armed police were deployed to an address on Spilsby Road at around 9.15pm after receiving reports that a firearm had been used.
Officers have now confirmed two men aged 22 and 34 and two women aged 23 and 32 have been arrested in connection with the incident.
