THE Iceland supermarket in Scunthorpe town centre was forced to close early today (Thursday, January 9) because of a water leak. The store, in the Foundry shopping centre, closed its doors to shoppers at around 3.45pm. A spokeswoman for Iceland confirmed the closure and said the branch would re-open as normal tomorrow. The westbound carriageway of the A18 Queensway in Scunthorpe is to be closed throughout the forthcoming weekend. No traffic will be able to get from Morrison's roundabout at Ashby Ville and Ashby Road. The eastbound carriageway, heading out of Scunthorpe, will be unaffected.
