Firefighters called after ammonia leak in Scunthorpe
FIREFIGHTERS were called to deal with an ammonia leak from a refrigerator at a property in Scunthorpe town centre.
A crew from Humberside Fire and Rescue Service attended the incident at an address on Oswald Road shortly before 1.50pm today (Monday, January 13).
Firefighters removed the refrigerator to the open air and the property was ventilated.
Two firefighters wore breathing apparatus and a PPV fan and gas detection equipment were also used.

A new market and car boot sale is now running every Saturday and Sunday in North Lincolnshire - and attracting eager shoppers.
The operators say a major benefit is that everything is undercover and protected from the January weather.

Fire causes smoke damage to Scunthorpe flat
FIREFIGHTERS were called to Scunthorpe's Cemetery Road after a pan fire caused smoke logging in a flat.
Fire crews attended at around 11.15 on Saturday, January 11, removing the pan from the premises and deploying a fan to clear smoke.
Three men in the flat refused to leave the property and declined ambulance treatment.

It suffered damage to windows and fascia boards after a van caught fire just before 5pm on Saturday, January 11.
