Mary Street car crash latest
POLICE have issued an update on a man who suffered spinal injuries in a car crash on Mary Street yesterday.
The man was taken to Scunthorpe General Hospital following the collision, between a red Rover and a grey Toyota Prius.
He remains in hospital today, but following checks police say his spinal injuries are only believed to be "minor".

Humberside Police to get two new drugs dogs
HUMBERSIDE Police has been given funding to buy and train two new passive dogs, which will be used to scan people for illegal drugs.
Currently, the force has to use dogs from West Yorkshire or South Yorkshire Police to carry out drug operations.

Humberside Police responded to an incident at around 9.20pm on January 15, involving a large piece of wood in the outside lane on the M180 eastbound junction 3.

North Lincolnshire Council is carrying out overnight roadworks in Scunthorpe.
Work to re-surface the junction of Angerstein Road in Scunthorpe will be taking place tonight (Thursday, January 16) and will continue tomorrow night (Friday, January 17).
