A KITTEN has had a lucky escape today (Saturday) after becoming trapped in the engine compartment of a car. The fire service was called after a worried owner found the kitten trapped in the car, at 1.38pm today. A MAN was arrested in Scunthorpe last night on suspicion of murder. West Yorkshire Police arrested the 33-year-old man in connection with their inquiries into the death of a man in Leeds in August. A spokeswoman for the force said the arrest was as a result of a routine stop check on a vehicle in Scunthorpe. The man – who is believed to be from the Blackpool area – remains in police custody.
