Co-operative Retail Services are planning changes to a North Lincolnshire store, near to which Tesco has now set up an Express outlet.
The Co-op says its store will undergo a refit "which will provide a better product range" and that the amended shop front "will be in keeping with the brand image currently being rolled out across the country."
The proposed alterations are at the Co-op Supermarket, 18-20 Market Street, Winterton.

Scunthorpe man arrested on suspicion of burglary
AN 18-year-old man has been arrested for attempted burglary in Scunthorpe.
Humberside Police say they received a call shortly before 1.50am this morning (Tuesday, April 29), reporting that a suspected burglary had taken place at an address on Russet Close in Scunthorpe.
Police attended and an 18-year-old man was arrested for attempted burglary and going equipped to steal.
Police say enquiries are ongoing to establish if anything has been stolen from the property.

Kidnap charge: Scunthorpe man to stand trial
A SCUNTHORPE man has denied kidnapping, assaulting and blackmailing another man and will stand trial this summer.
Raimondas Pupsys entered his pleas at Grimsby Crown Court when the charges, dating back to July 12 last year were read to him.
Pupsys, 27, of no fixed abode, appeared in court in custody and he was further remanded by Judge David Tremberg until his trial in the week commencing July 28.
His trial is expected to last three days.

9.20pm UPDATE: Lorry carrying 29 tonnes of wheat goes into ditch
A LORRY carrying 29 tonnes of wheat came off the road into a ditch.
The incident was reported to Humberside Police shortly before 2.30pm today (Tuesday, April 29), on the B1206 between Elsham and Brigg, just past the golf course.
A police spokesman confirmed there were no injuries, but said motorists could expect delays while the vehicle is being recovered.
Humberside Fire and Rescue Service also attended the scene.

Humber Bridge hold-ups to be slashed by new toll system
Hold-ups experienced by drivers at the Humber Bridge should disappear when a new toll paying system is introduced in January 2015 at six booths.
The system will rely on a tag, about the size of a business card and 5mm thick, which is fitted, using a suction device, behind the rear-view mirror. A receiver, will be fitted in the booths.

More delays for drivers on the A18 near Scunthorpe
MOTORISTS face delays on a major road into and out of Scunthorpe tonight.
Temporary traffic lights will be used on the A18 Mortal Ash Hill between the Forest Pines roundabout and the start of the dual carriageway.
They will be in operation from 6pm tonight (Wednesday, April 30) until 6am tomorrow.
They are being used to allow structural street light column testing to take place.

Tata Steel Scunthorpe could benefit from HS2 rail go-ahead
Hopes that Tata Steel could win a big order for the controversial new HS2 railway line remain on track after efforts to derail the scheme in Parliament suffered a heavy defeat.
The project is valued at £50 billion and Tata Steel Scunthorpe is a major producer of rails.
There have been objections to the scheme - mainly about the cost and the affect on the countryside.

Inquest begins into death of four-year-old Emma Lifsey
A FOUR-year-old girl from North Lincolnshire who died after a train crashed into a car she was travelling in always had a "beaming smile on her face", her inquest heard.
