A surviving fire station from the days of the old Lindsey County Council has been converted into a shop, and the premises are now on the market. The building has not been used as a fire station since the late 1970s when Humberside Fire Brigade built a replacement. The converted station is in Wrawby Street, Brigg. A LORRY driver was jailed for assaulting a man with a metal baton in Scunthorpe.Adrian Ulmean, 36, pleaded guilty to one count of actual bodily harm against Mark White, on May 8 on the Queensway in Scunthorpe.He also pleaded guilty to possessing an offensive weapon, namely a metal extendable baton.Ulmean, of Hunedoara Jud in Romania, was jailed for 10 months at Grimsby Crown Court.
