An £800,000 development at Market Rasen Racecourse is under starter's orders, involving the extension of the Tattershalls Enclosure.

Children's day care centre with play & fitness area planned
Planning permission is being sought to create a day care centre and a recreation/play/fitness area for children aged up to 12 years.
It will involve the demolition of a garage and the provision of parking, fencing and gates.
The location is the site of Millers Gym & World of Pine, on Ferriby Road, Barton, and the applicant Carlton Education and Enterprise.
North Lincolnshire Council now has the application under consideration.

Mysterious lights photographed on Scunthorpe skyline
Strange lights have been photographed on the Scunthorpe skyline.
Scunthorpe Telegraph photographer Carl Gac saw them from the Gunness area, on the outkirts of Scunthorpe, looking over towards Flixborough.
The steel town has long been renowned for its 'Heavens Reflect' glow from the iron and steelmaking operations and its array of lights on the plant.
However, this view was taken a long way from the town's main industry.

VW stolen and used as getaway vehicle in burglary
A VW Golf was stolen and used as a getaway vehicle in a house burglary.
The car's registration is YF59 VEJ.
The crime happened overnight on on Thursday, July 3, someone entering the house in Middle Street, Scotton.
Among items stolen was a doctor's bag and a prescription pad.
Information about this incident will be welcomed by Detective Constable Tina Kennedy, of Gainsborough CID.

New wind turbine plan revealed
The Environment Agency, which oversees Britain's waterways, is seeking to install a wind turbine to generate power.
North Lincolnshire Council is being asked to grant planning permission for the installation of a single Rotaheat Convertor wind turbine, measuring 19m to its tip.
It is earmarked for the Environment Agency depot and office in South Street, Owston Ferry.
It is intended that the convertor wind turbine will meet all the hot water and heating requirements of

New 15m phone mast planned for Scunthorpe
A new 15m high phone mast is earmarked for Scunthorpe.
North Lincolnshire Council planners have been notified of the proposed removal of an existing 14.8m column supporting six antennas.
It is to be replaced by 15m "streetpole" supporting three antennas, plus two new equipment cabinets.
The development is planned for Telecommunication Mast 2, off Warren Road.
