The following offender was dealt with at the Court Centre in Laneham Street, Scunthorpe, with North Lincolnshire magistrates hearing the matter and passing sentence:
KALWANT SINGH BINNING, 40, of Westerdale Road, Scunthorpe, pleaded guilty to using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour. He was fined £400, ordered to pay compensation of £125, a victim surcharge of £40 and costs of £200.

Crew called to garage fire
FIREFIGHTERS were called to a blaze in a garage last night (Monday, October 20).
The incident happened shortly after 11pm and involved a fire in the roof void of a garage at a property in Windmill Way, Kirton in Lindsey.
Humberside Fire and Rescue Service crew members removed roof tiles from the garage to inspect and extinguish the fire.
They used a short extension ladder, a hose reel, a thermal image camera, small tools and a salvage sheet to deal with the incident.

Road closed after one-vehicle crash
MOTORISTS are facing delays after a road was closed following an accident this morning.
The incident involved one vehicle and happened on the B1398, affecting traffic travelling towards Kirton in Lindsey.
The road has been closed in both directions around the Westbeck Lane junction in Blyborough, with traffic going towards Willoughton also affected.
Police have been called to the scene and a diversion is in operation.
