The following offender was dealt with at the Court Centre in Laneham Street, Scunthorpe, with North Lincolnshire magistrates hearing the matter and passing sentence:
ZACK TINGLE, 19, of Doncaster Road, Scunthorpe, pleaded guilty to two offences of causing criminal damage and one of possession of cannabis. He was given a 12-month community order with an 80-hour unpaid work requirement, ordered to pay compensation of £200, a victim surcharge of £60 and costs of £85.

Pensioner in hospital after bag snatch in Scunthorpe
A PENSIONER has been left with a suspected dislocated shoulder after having her bag snatched in Scunthorpe.
Police say the 63-year-old woman was approached by an unknown man on Frodingham Road at 9.20pm on Monday (March 30).
The man is said to have grabbed her black handbag and run off and police have now issued an appeal.

COUNCILLORS are continuing to work to reduce nuisance motorists near a leisure centre.
Residents have complained that drivers are speeding up to the centre, playing loud music and causing noise - sometimes as late as 3am.

Changes are being proposed to the barrier system at Britannia Corner, Scunthorpe, used to close off some town centre streets as an aid to late night policing and crime reduction.

DRIVER ALERT: 30mph speed restriction on Humber Bridge
A 30mph speed restriction for all vehicles is in place on the Humber Bridge this morning (Wednesday, April 1). This is due to high winds, which are continuing to affect driving conditions throughout the area. Yesterday, the Humber Bridge was shut for more than two hours following a crash involving a lorry and a van, causing long delays for drivers. Forecasters say the winds are expected to ease during the day.

B&Q names 6 stores closing – but won't comment on...
Staff at the B&Q store on Scunthorpe's Gallagher Retail Estate ae still waiting to hear if they are on a hit list after their bosses announced plans to close 60 stores in the UK.
The firm, which has 360 branches, yesterday announced the first six sites to close would be in Southampton, Dundee, Birmingham, Manchester and two in Barnsley.
