TRIBUTES have been paid to a "talented and dedicated" northern Lincolnshire doctor who tragically died in a motorbike crash on the A631 near Louth.
Dr Geoff Wood, of Carr Road, North Kelsey, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on the A631 at Kelstern despite the efforts of emergency services.
Dr Wood, who was 56, had been a GP at the Caistor Health Centre since moving to the area around 1990, and was well-respected by patients in the town.
He retired three years ago.

A large number of schools across Scunthorpe and North Lincolnshire could be hit by national teachers' strikes next week.
The National Union of Teachers (NUT) is backing the strike next Wednesday (March 26) in a dispute over workloads, jobs, pensions and pay.

People needing food bank aid can pick up the vouchers they need to get supplies from nine outlets in Scunthorpe and Brigg.
Access is only though agencies which issue vouchers so eligible people can get food to last them up to three days.
Brigg Food Bank launched last October with the aim of distributing emergency food to those in crisis.

Average earnings of workers in North Lincolnshire now exceed the national average.
It is the first time since 2005 that gross weekly pay for full-time workers in our area has exceeded the national benchmark.
Local men currently earn an average £12.81 an hour, compared to a national average of £12.50.
North Lincolnshire women are earning £11.26, while the national rate is £11.15.

HUNDREDS of people today turned out to celebrate the life of a much-loved and respected teacher and sportsman.
Family and friends were joined by staff and students from Sir John Nelthorpe School to commemorate the life of Adrian Gibbons.
The schoolteacher died suddenly on Tuesday, March 11 aged 63 and his funeral was held this afternoon at St John's Church in Brigg.
