The operators of The Light bar in Scunthorpe will go to court next week to appeal against a ruling to not allow the Doncaster Road venue to open from 9am until 6am. Last year, North Lincolnshire Council told the Grimsby Pub Company that a 6am opening in the town centre could lead to crime and disorder. At present, the Light can stay open until 4am – an hour earlier than the rival Bamboogy/Buddha bar in the High Street closes.
